The business networking platform fostering economic linkages between Singapore and Indonesia
Indonesia and Singapore have always enjoyed close economic linkages, and have over the years developed a strong economic partnership. It was in view of furthering this partnership, that Network Indonesia was formed to provide a platform for Singapore-based companies and entrepreneurs to exchange ideas and help them in their business developments with Indonesian counterparts.
As a premier business network platform, Network Indonesia is privileged to be directed by a Steering Committee comprising prominent private sector business leaders, with expertise in a wide spectrum of industries such as infrastructure, retail, trading and education. Network Indonesia is currently chaired by Ms Low Sin Leng, Executive Chairman of Sembcorp Industrial Parks, who took over the chairmanship in 2009 from Founding Chairman, Mr Tony Chew. She is supported by Vice-Chairman, Mr Philip Eng, Deputy Chairman of MCL Land, and Mr George Huang, Managing Director of Amoy Canning Corporation.
Looking forward, Network Indonesia will continue to collaborate closely with partners such as the Singapore Business Federation as well as Indonesia’s Investment Coordinating Board, BKPM, to bring insightful programmes to engage the business community. These include seminars and business forums on Indonesia, which provide valuable first-hand knowledge to participants. Regular business missions also give businessmen a feel of the ground and increased networking opportunities with government officials and potential partners. Members of Network Indonesia enjoy priority and discounted access to these activities.
