Network Indonesia was launched in Jakarta on a high note on 20 May 2003 , attracting close to 500 guests from both Singapore and Indonesia . The event was graced by Guests-of-Honour Singapore's former Minister for Trade & Industry George Yeo, and Indonesia's former Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Dorodjatun Kuntjoro-Jakti.
Network Indonesia, which is the first Southeast Asian business networking platform formed by IE Singapore, was initiated to foster connections and business linkages between companies that have an interest in the Indonesia market. It also aims to cultivate a fraternity of Singapore-based companies and entrepreneurs interested in business opportunities in Indonesia , to share timely information, ideas, opinions and experiences.

| Mission
Network Indonesia aims to do the following:
- Cultivate a fraternity of Singapore-based enterprises who are currently active, plan to be active, or have special affinity to Indonesia; and share timely information, ideas, opinions and experiences.
- Promote networking between Singapore enterprises and their counterparts to collaborate in identifying and developing new businesses in Indonesia, Singapore and/or other markets.
- Facilitate Singapore-based enterprises interested in trading with and/or investing in Indonesia.
- Construct programmes to support and leverage on government to government policies and economic initiatives for the benefits of members.
- Spearhead business delegations to Indonesia and provide a platform for visiting business and government delegations from Indonesia to meet Singapore-based enterprises.
- Sponsor and encourage seminars on various aspects of doing business in Indonesia.
