About Us
International Enterprise (IE) Singapore is an agency under the Ministry of Trade and Industry spearheading the development of Singapore’s external economy.

With a global network in over 30 locations and our 3C framework of assistance – Connections, Competency, Capital, we offer products and services to help enterprises export, develop business capabilities, find overseas partners and enter new markets.

At the same time, we work to position Singapore as a base for foreign businesses to expand into the region in partnership with Singapore-based enterprises. Singapore’s unique advantages of strategic location, stable government, competitive workforce, and pro-business environment make it an ideal launch pad for globalisation.

IE Singapore assists enterprises across a wide range of industries with focus on seven key clusters: Business Services, Environmental & Engineering Services, Infocomm Technology, Infrastructure Services, Lifestyle, Transport & Logistics and Technology Business.

Connections
IE Singapore’s global presence and extensive network of key business and government contacts offer companies the necessary connections to venture overseas. Enterprises can take part in business missions, networking sessions and trade fairs to find overseas partners.

Competency
We offer a wide range of assistance programmes and resources to help Singapore-based enterprises build internationalisation competencies in alliance formation, branding, design, export, intellectual property and manpower. Companies can also build market knowledge by signing up as ieConnect members to receive regular updates, access the latest market and industry reports and publications. They can also obtain personalised in-depth advice from consultants at our Advisory Centre or from experts through our iadvisory portal.

Capital
IE Singapore offers a range of financial tools, grants and tax incentives to help enterprises gain access to capital, develop their financial management capabilities and defray developmental costs of expanding overseas.

TDB- IE Society

The Singapore Trade Development Board was formed in 1983 to develop Singapore as a premier international trading hub and to promote the nation’s goods and services.

To more effectively compete, Singapore has had to move beyond its investment-driven and electronics-dominated export base to develop new bases of growth. This has led to another key thrust identified under Singapore’s new economic strategy, namely to help Singapore-based companies internationalise and grow in the global market.

In line with this new national direction, TDB was restructured to move beyond trade to focus on internationalising Singapore-based enterprises and was officially renamed International Enterprise Singapore on 12 April 2002.

As such, the TDB-IE Society was set up to foster interaction and active participation among the former employees of TDB, its subsidiaries, leading managers on economic and business development and other members.
