An initiative by International Enterprise (IE) Singapore, the Exporter Development Programme is designed to equip SMEs with the skills and knowledge to enhance their export capabilities and grow their business overseas.

Companies will learn how to export their goods and services and reach their intended overseas audience through a sustained and systematic approach to exporting.

In this programme, you will:

• Develop a sustainable export strategy for your business
• Acquire the skills needed to export sustainably
• Understand the importance of market intelligence
• Familiarise yourself with an overseas market, its business landscape and industry practices

The EDP is for Singapore companies who are:

• New to exporting
• Reviewing your export strategy
• Seeking new export markets
• Building capabilities of your export team

The EDP is a 6 month programme consisting three compulsory components:

• Export Strategy Planning
• Export Training Course
• Overseas Market Visit

As a guide, you will qualify if your company

• Is Singapore-registered
• Has a business track record
• Has an exportable products and/or service
• Has the financial capacity and manpower to support export business development
• Has sustainable and sufficient supplies to cater to export demand
• Has an export team and management with export-ready mindset and attitude
• Is fully committed to completing the Export Development Programme

Companies are required to complete an online Export Readiness Assessment and meet the programme managers to find out if you are export ready.
