Introduction

Building and Developing Manpower

IE Singapore’s manpower programmes aim to help Singapore-based enterprises grow into strong international players by assisting to groom talent to excel in the global business market, and to develop relevant HR strategies for internationalisation.

Some manpower assistance platforms that Singapore-based enterprises may tap on include:

  • Diagnostic tools such as a web-based HR toolkit designed to give companies an instant general diagnosis of the current state of HR practices and capabilities within their organisations

  • Company development initiatives such as:
    • The International Market Immersion Programme (iMIP), which provides assistance to companies to send staff for overseas market attachments so that they can gain relevant market expertise to help their companies internationalise successfully.
    • The International Business Fellowship (iBF) Programme, which aims to give exposure to participants and opportunities for learning in supported markets of Central Asia, China, India, Latin America, Russia, the Middle East or Vietnam.

  • Resource development programmes such as The Human Capital Network (HCN) and the iBF Undergraduate Programme provide additional avenues for Singapore-based enterprises to recruit and groom suitable talent for international expansion.
